WMTC 2021 :: CREATING SUSTAINABLE SHIPPING THROUGH TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
From historic maritime heritage to forward looking smart and sustainable shipping. Join WMTC2021 in Denmark, at the Tivoli Congress Centre at the heart of Copenhagen.
The shipping industry faces a huge amount of challenges; the quest for decarbonization and battling pollution, the impact of disruptive technologies, our vulnerabilities to cyber-attacks and a severe skills shortage.
Call for Abstracts will start in June 2020, and we encourage all maritime businesses, students, researchers, and scientists to submit papers, presentations or posters within the scope of the conference; theoretical and especially feasible and implementable submissions are favored. Prior to the conference all submissions will be evaluated by a Review Committee and the most relevant will be selected for presentation and discussion at the conference.

The process for submitting abstracts, as well as final papers for review has been released.
 
SCIENTIFIC PAPERS
All authors are invited to submit an abstract in 300-400 words. The abstract should include the subject(s) – see themes – to which their topic applies. The abstract should outline the objectives and scope of the work described, the approach followed, observations and results as appropriate, and note any novel features of the work.
All abstracts must be submitted online via this link, which opens 10. June 2020.
 
Deadlines:
Abstract Submission: 31 July 2020 Notification of abstract acceptance: 1 September 2020
Upon acceptance of the abstract, a technical paper of 6 – 10 pages is required. These papers will be peer reviewed by a review committee. Authors are expected to incorporate feedback into their final papers.
Accepted papers will be published in a conference proceeding.
 
Deadlines:
Paper for Review: 1 November 2020 Final Paper: 15 January 2021
 
INDUSTRIAL PRESENTATIONS
Invitation to submit an abstract in 300-400 words. The abstract should include the subject(s) – per above list – to which their topic applies. The abstract should outline the objectives and scope of the work described.
 
Deadline:
Abstract Submission: 1 December 2020
Upon acceptance of the abstract, a presentation must be submitted.
 
Deadline:
Final Presentation: 1 April 2021
 
STUDENT AUTHORS
Students are encouraged to bring forward abstracts, presentations or posters within the scope of the conference. An abstract must be submitted as described for scientific papers.
Upon acceptance of the abstract, a presentation, poster or a paper of max. 10 pages is required. The material must be reviewed by a faculty member before submitted.
